Unai Melgosa's team managed to come back twice during the match against the “Squadra Azzurra”.
The Ukraine U21 football team played to a draw with Italy in a friendly match that took place in La Spezia. The match ended with a score of 2:2.
In the 26th minute of the match, the hosts opened the scoring through Giovanni Fabbian. Two minutes later, the “blue-yellows” equalized – Ilya Kvasnitsa made an accurate low shot into the far corner.
Before the break, the “Squadra Azzurra” took the lead again – in the 45th minute, Francesco Esposito scored.
However, in the second half, the Ukrainians managed to snatch a draw – in the 83rd minute, the saving goal was scored by Igor Krasnopir, who had come on as a substitute just a few minutes before.

It should be noted that on November 15, the Ukrainian “youth team” made a comeback and snatched a draw in a productive friendly with Portugal (3:3).
These matches became preparation for the wards of Unai Melgosa for the final tournament of Euro 2025, which will be hosted by Slovakia next year. The draw for the continental championship with the participation of our team will take place on December 3.
