The Ukrainian national basketball team lost to Israel in its third match of the 2025 European Championship qualifiers. The match, nominally home for the “blue-yellows”, at the Arena Riga in the capital of Latvia ended with a score of 73:86 (19:16, 18:20, 18:29, 18:21).
For the Ukrainian team, this is the third defeat in a row in the EuroBasket 2025 qualifiers. In the first two matches, which took place earlier this year, Vitaliy Stepanovskyi's team lost to Slovenia (73:87) and Portugal (77:79).
The Ukrainian team will play its next match in the continental championship qualifiers on Monday, November 25. Our team's opponent will again be Israel.
After three rounds, the Ukrainians (3 points) occupy the last fourth place in the Group A table. Portugal, Slovenia and Israel have 5 points each. The top three teams in the group will qualify for the European Championship.
