The Ukrainian team will send six biathletes to Finland.
The Ukrainian Women's Biathlon Team has announced its roster for the first stage of the 2024/25 World Cup, which will be held in Kontiolahti, Finland.
As reported by the Ukrainian Biathlon Federation on its official Telegram channel, our team will be represent six biathletes: Kristina Dmitrenko, Yulia Dzhima, Anastasia Merkushina, Elena Gorodnaya, Anna Krivonos and Alexandra Merkushina.
It should be noted that in women's individual races, the Ukrainian national team will have a quota of five biathletes in the 2024/25 World Cup season.
While the Ukrainian men's team lost one quota in individual World Cup races following the results of last season and will not be able to send more than four biathletes to the start in the new campaign.
The opening stage of the new World Cup season in Kontiolahti will last from November 30 to December 8. It will include single and classic mixed relays, men's and women's relays, individual races, sprints, and mass starts.
