Ruslan Rotan's team dealt with the "sailors", who had been playing with nine men since the 29th minute.
"Alexandria" crushed "Chernomorets" in a home match 15th round of the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL) of the 2024/25 season. The match at the Nika stadium in Alexandria ended with a score of 3:0.
Ruslan Rotan's team opened the scoring in the 16th minute of the match – the debut goal at the adult level was scored by 19-year-old Danylo Vaschenko.
In the 17th minute, the “sailors” were left with a man down – Ivan Petryak received a direct red card for pushing and then cursing at the referee. The reason for such aggressive behavior was that during the successful attack of the Oleksandrians, the referee allegedly did not see a foul on their part.
In the 29th minute of the match, the Odessa club was left with nine men. Bohdan Butko earned a direct red card for an offensive remark addressed to the head referee: “Go to hell,” who asked the player to leave the field to receive medical assistance.
After this episode, the head coach of the “sailors” Alexander Babich ran onto the field, who wanted to take the team off the field, but in the end he received a yellow card, and the match continued.
At the end of the match, Rotan's team brought the matter to a rout. Denis Kostyshin scored in the 80th minute, and Artem Kozak set the final score in the 90+1st minute.

Thus, “Alexandria” updated its record for unbeaten streak in the UPL. Rotan's team has not lost a single one of its last 19 matches in the Ukrainian championship – 14 of them this season and five last season.
Thanks to this victory, Oleksandria (36 points) took first place in the UPL, overtaking Dynamo (35 points), which has a match in hand. Chornomorets (12 points) is in 13th place.
In the next round of the UPL, Oleksandria will play Dynamo away on December 8, and the Odessans will host Kryvbas the day before.
