Daniel will defend IBF heavyweight belt against Joseph Parker.
IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Duboiswill defend his title against interim WBO belt holder Joseph Parker.
This was officially announced by the promotional company Queensberry Promotions.
The title fight between Dubois and Parker will take place on February 22, 2025 in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) on the undercard of the rematch between the absolute world light heavyweight champion Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol.
In his last fight, Dubois knocked out on the night of September 22, 2024his compatriot Anthony Joshua and retained the IBF heavyweight belt. For the 27-year-old Briton, this was the first defense of the championship title in his career.
Earlier, Daniel, who on the night of June 2, 2024 early defeated Croatian Filip Hrgovic in a fight for the interim IBF title, was promoted to a full champion of the organization after Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk refused this belt and lost the title of absolute world champion.
Parker last entered the ring on the night of March 9, 2024, when he defeated Chinese Zhang Zhilei in a fight for the title of interim WBO champion. In that fight, the 32-year-old New Zealander was knocked down twice, but won by split decision.
Dubois's record includes 22 wins (21 by knockout) and two losses – to Joe Joyce in 2020 and Usyk in 2023.
Parker has had 38 professional fights: 35 wins (23 by knockout) and three losses – to Joshua and Dillian Whyte in 2018, as well as to Joe Joyce in 2022.
