In the 6th round of the most prestigious European Cup, Donetsk “Shakhtar” will meet with Munich “Bayern”.
The matches of the sixth round of the main stage of the Champions League season-2024/25 will take place on December 10-11.
On Tuesday, December 10, the only Ukrainian club in the most prestigious European tournament, Donetsk “Shakhtar”, will play a nominally home match with Munich “Bayern” in Gelsenkirchen.
On the same day, Girona of Ukrainian midfielder Viktor Tsygankov will host Liverpool, Real Madrid of Ukrainian goalkeeper Andriy Lunin will visit Atalanta, and Bayer of Ukrainian striker Artem Stepanov will play Inter at home.
On Wednesday, December 11, Arsenal of Ukrainian Oleksandr Zinchenko will play Monaco at home, Benfica of Ukrainian goalkeeper Anatoliy Trubin will host Bologna, Borussia Dortmund will face Barcelona at their own stadium, and Manchester City will test their strength away from home against Juventus.
Let us recall that in the updated Champions League format, 36 clubs compete in a single league, where they will play against eight different opponents (four matches at home and four away).
Following the league stage, the eight teams with the most points will advance to the 1/8 finals. The clubs that take 9th to 24th place in the overall standings will play paired play-off matches to reach the 1/8 finals. The rest will finish their performance in European competitions.
