At the stage in Kontiolahti, 21-year-old Mandzyn finished in fourth place in the short individual race, breaking his personal career record.
He became the first Ukrainian in history to wear the blue jersey of the leader of the World Cup youth standings. In addition, Vitaliy finished in the top 30 individual World Cup races three times.
The next stage of the Biathlon World Cup will be held on December 13-15 in Hochfilzen, Austria.
