Shakhtarsuffered a sensational away defeat to Polesye in the match of the 17th round of the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL) of the 2024/25 season. The match in Zhitomir ended with a score of 1:0.
The only goal in this match was scored at the end of the second half. In the 90+1 minute, Bohdan Mykhailychenko hit the goal of his former club with a shot into the near corner from within the penalty area.
It should be noted that Poliesie beat Shakhtar for the second time in the current Ukrainian championship. In the 2nd round of the UPL, the Donetsk club also lost to Zhitomir with a score of 0:1.
