In the “A” sample, star Ukrainian footballer tested positive for doping.
Chelsea and Ukrainian national team winger Mykhailo Mudryk tested positive for doping.
This was reported by Tribuna.com.
A banned substance was found in the 23-year-old Ukrainian footballer's “A” sample. The doping sample, which gave a positive result, was taken from Mudryk at the end of October. It is expected that the “B” sample will be opened in the coming days.
Tribuna.com asked Mykhailo himself and his manager for a comment. The footballer's response will be published immediately after receiving it.
If the information is confirmed, the star player faces a long disqualification.
The last time Mudryk was included in the Chelsea squad was on December 1 for the match against Aston Villa. Since then, Mikhail has missed four matches of the London team.
This season, Mudryk played 15 matches for Chelsea in all tournaments, scoring three goals and making five assists.
Currently, Chelsea with 34 points after 16 matches played is in second place in the Premier League and is only 2 points behind the leader Liverpool, who played one match less.
In the next round of the Premier League, Mudryk's team will play away against Everton of Ukrainian defender Vitaliy Mykolenko on December 22. Before that, the Blues will host Irish Shamrock Rovers on December 19 in the final round of the main round of the Conference League.
