Usyk's manager told when the Ukrainian champion will have his next fight

Egis Klimas believes that Alexander will return to the ring at the end of July or in August 2025.

Egis Klimas, manager of WBA, WBO, WBC and IBO heavyweight title holder Alexander Usyk, told when to expect the Ukrainian champion to return to the ring.

According to him, after victory in the rematch with Tyson Fury, the Ukrainian boxer is unlikely to resume training until the end of April next year.

Klimas believes that Usyk will have his next fight in late July or August 2025.

“It will be a very long preparation. After another 12 rounds with Fury, he needs a good, long recovery. Dubois has to beat Parker before he can even start thinking about Usyk,” BoxingScene quotes Klimas as saying.

It should be noted that Daniel Dubois will defend the IBF heavyweight belt in a fight with New Zealander Joseph Parker, which is scheduled for February 22, 2025 in Riyadh.

Unlike the first fight, the Usyk-Fury rematch did not have the title of absolute world champion at stake, since Alexander had previously given up the IBF title. Now it is owned by Briton Daniel Dubois, who has already managed to defend it by knocking out his compatriot Anthony Joshua.

After Usyk's victory over Fury in the rematch, Dubois climbed into the ring and challenged the Ukrainian to a fight. Alexander agreed and asked to organize a fight with Daniel, whom he had already knocked out in August 2023.

Recall that on the night of May 19, 2024, Usyk defeated Fury by split decision in a fight for the title of absolute world heavyweight champion. At the end of the ninth round, Alexander knocked his opponent down.

Usyk became the first absolute world heavyweight champion in the 21st century and the first in history to hold four major heavyweight titles – WBO, WBA, IBF and WBC.
