Dmytro Pidruchnyi became the best among the Ukrainians.
On Sunday, January 19, on the final day of the fifth stage of the 2024/25 Biathlon World Cup in Ruhpolding, Germany, the men's mass start took place.
Ukraine was represented by two biathletes: Dmytro Pidruchnyi and Vitaly Mandzyn.
The best result among Ukrainians was shown by Pidruchnyi, who took 21st place. Mandzyn reached the finish line in 25th. Both of our compatriots earned four penalty laps.
The Italian Tommaso Giacomel won the mass start. He was joined on the podium by the Norwegians: Sturla Laegreid came in second, and Johannes Bio finished third.

Today the stage in Ruhpolding will end with the women's mass start, where Ukraine will be represented by Yulia Dzhima. The race starts at 16:00 Kyiv time.
The next stage of the Biathlon World Cup will be held on January 23-26 in Antholz-Anterselva (Italy).
