Bohdan Borkovskyi and Serhii Suprun won the biathlon pursuit race.
Ukraine won two more medals at the 2025 Winter Universiade, which is taking place in Turin, Italy. In the men's biathlon pursuit race, “gold” was won by Bogdan Borkovsky, and Sergey Suprun became the silver medalist.
Borkovsky and Suprun finished with four penalty laps, which did not prevent them from climbing to the highest steps of the podium. “Bronze” in the pursuit was won by Frenchman Paul Fontaine.
Another Ukrainian, Roman Borovik, took 14th place with six penalties.

Borkovsky's gold and Suprun's silver became the seventh and eighth awards for Ukraine at the 2025 Winter Universiade. The Ukrainian team won six of the eight medals in biathlon.
For Bohdan, this is the second gold medal at the current Winter Universiade. Earlier, he won gold in the short individual race. Borkovsky also won bronze in the sprint.
Serhiy climbed to the podium for the second time at the current Winter Universiade. Before that, he won “gold” in the single mixed relay together with Alexandra Merkushyna.
