 Biathlon: Results of the women's relay at the World Cup stage in Antholz

The Ukrainian team finished the race in sixth place.

On Sunday, January 26, on the last competition day of the sixth stage of the 2024/25 Biathlon World Cup in Antholz, Italy, the women's relay took place.

The following athletes ran for the Ukrainian team: Iryna Petrenko, Yulia Dzhyma, AnastasiaMerkushina and Kristina Dmitrenko. The “blue-yellows” finished in sixth place.

In the first stage, Petrenko shot flawlessly while prone and left the firing line in fourth place. In the standing position, Irina used two extra rounds and dropped to tenth place, and passed the baton to eighth.

In the second stage, Dzhima made one miss at each firing line, after which, due to her speed, she raised the Ukrainian team from ninth place to seventh during the baton changeover.

At the third stage, Merkushyna missed once in the prone shooting, reaching the sixth place. Using one extra round in the standing position, Anastasia brought the Ukrainian team to the fifth position, and passed the baton in sixth place.

At the fourth stage, Dmitrenko worked perfectly in the prone shooting and left the shooting range in the fifth position. Having missed once in the standing position, Kristina moved up to the fourth place, but finished sixth.

The Swedish team won the women's relay. Norway came in second, and France rounded out the top three.

Today, the Biathlon World Cup stage in Antholz will end with the men's pursuit race, which will start at 15:45 Kyiv time. Ukraine will be represented by Dmytro Pidruchnyi (5th starting position following the results of the sprint) and Anton Dudchenko (36th).
