Ukraine national futsal team thrashed the Germany teamin the fourth round of the 2026 European Championship qualification. The match, nominally home for the “blue-yellows”, in Moldovan Chisinau ended with a score of 9:0.
In the first half, the Ukrainians scored three times – Yevgeny Zhuk scored a double, and Andrey Melnik scored another goal.
In the second half of the match, Oleksandr Kosenko's charges did not slow down and upset the German team six more times. Daniil Abakshin and Yevgeny Zhuk scored two goals each, while Nikolay Mykytyuk and Artem Farenyuk scored one goal each.
Thus, the Ukrainian national futsal team won the fourth match in a row in the Euro 2026 qualifiers. Our team started the qualifiers with a crushing victory over Cyprus (7:0), then beat Romania (2:0) and defeated Germany away (5:3). After four matches played, the Ukrainian team with 12 points is the sole leader of its Euro 2026 qualifier group. “The Blue-Yellows” are ahead of Romania (6 points), as well as Germany (3) and Cyprus (0).
The Ukrainian national team will play its final matches of the continental championship qualification in April this year against Cyprus and Romania.
The winners of the groups will directly qualify for the final part of Euro 2026, and the eight best teams that took second place will play for four more tickets to the continental championship in the playoffs.
The 2026 European Futsal Championship will be held from January 18 to February 8, 2026 in Lithuania and Latvia. The hosts of the final tournament automatically received the right to participate in it.
