A goal in the 90+3rd minute brought "creamy" a difficult victory over Leganes.
Real Madrid defeated Leganes in the quarter-final match of the 2024/25 Spanish Cup. The match in the city of Leganes ended with a score of 2:3.
Luka Modric opened the scoring in the 18th minute, and seven minutes later Endrik doubled the advantage of the Royal Club. In the 39th minute, the hosts reduced the deficit – Juan Cruz converted a penalty.
At the start of the second half, Leganes even managed to equalize the score – Cruz scored a double in the 59th minute.
However, in the 90+3rd minute, Carlo Ancelotti's team was able to snatch victory thanks to an accurate strike by Gonzalo Garcia.
The Ukrainian goalkeeper of the “creamy” Andriy Lunin spent the entire match on the field, conceding two goals. For him, this was the eighth match for the Madrid team this season.
