Kiev “Dynamo” suffered a defeat from “Atalanta”in the 1/16 finals match of the UEFA Youth League. The match in the Turkish city of Manavgat on the field of the stadium “Arslan Zeki Demirci” ended with a score of 3:3, and in the penalty shootout the players of the Italian team were more accurate – 6:7.
“Bergamaschi” opened the scoring in the 12th minute thanks to the efforts of Lorenzo Bonsignori. However, before the break, the “white-blues” responded with three goals of their own: first, the ball was cut into his own net by “Atalanta” striker Henri Camara, and then Matvey Ponomarenko and Dmitry Kremchanin scored for the Kiev team.
In the second half, Atalanta managed to restore parity in the game – in the 63rd minute, Vincenzo Vedrani made an accurate strike, and seven minutes later, Candace Fiogbe equalized the score.
Since the regular time of the match ended in a draw, the winner of the ticket to the next stage of the tournament was determined in a penalty shootout. Of their nine shots, the “white-blues” failed to convert three, as a result of which they ended their participation in the UEFA Youth League.
