The Ukrainian team finished in eighth place.
On Wednesday, February 12, the 2025 Biathlon World Championships in Lenzerheide, Switzerland, started with a mixed relay.
The Ukrainian team was represented in the race by Iryna Petrenko, Kristina Dmitrenko, Anton Dudchenkoand Dmytro Pidruchnyi. The “blue-yellows” finished in eighth place.
At the first stage, Petrenko shot flawlessly while lying down, leaving the firing line in fourth position. At the standing position, Irina used two additional rounds and dropped to 16th place, and passed the baton in 17th place, 1 minute 34 seconds behind the leader.
At the second stage, Dmitrenko shot cleanly in prone and moved the Ukrainian team up to 13th place. At the standing position, Kristina used two extra rounds and left the shooting range in 14th place, and passed the baton in 13th place, 2 minutes 45 seconds behind the leader.
At the third stage, Dudchenko shot cleanly in prone and was 15th after the shooting range. At the standing position, Anton used one extra round and passed the baton in 13th place.
At the final stage, Pidruchnyi shot flawlessly in prone and standing and ultimately made up five positions for the Ukrainian team, finishing in eighth place.
France won the mixed relay. The Czech Republic won silver, and Germany took bronze.

The 2025 Biathlon World Championships will last until February 23. The next race of the world championship will be the women's sprint, which will take place on Friday, February 14.
