The authoritative statistics portal Opta Analyst assessed the teams' chances of winning the Champions League after the first matches of the 1/8 finals of the most prestigious European Cup tournament.
Liverpool are considered the main favourites. The victory over PSG (1:0) significantly affected the probability of the Reds winning the Champions League according to Opta forecasts. Before that, the team won the trophy in 19.7% of simulations. After the victory, this figure increased to 26.1%.
Barcelona are in second place with 17.3%. Inter Milan are next with 15.5%, and after them comes Mikel Arteta's Arsenal, whose chances Opta estimates at 13.8%. But the probability that Real Madrid will win their 16th big-eared trophy is currently only 9.2%.
Let us recall that the Champions League final is scheduled for May 31, 2025. It will take place in Munich at the Allianz Arena.
