Guenther Steiner suggests keeping a close eye on Oscar Piastri in the upcoming season. The former Haas team principal believes that in 2025 the Australian driver will not only be able to take several victories, but also compete on equal terms with teammate Lando Norris.
“McLaren are in very good shape at the moment,” Steiner told Australian TV show The Project. “I think Oscar has a good chance of winning his home race. Piastri has proven he's good. He was fighting with Lando Norris, one of the best drivers, last season.
Of course, to fight for the title, the stars have to align – the driver needs a good car and he himself has to be in shape. As for the car, there are no problems with that – the tests last week showed that. I think McLaren has the best car, so I expect a battle for victories between the two teammates.
Lando and Oscar are on the same level and this will be Oscar's third season. He has learned a lot and started winning races last year. He is ready to fight.”
