Sergey Kulish became the best in air rifle shooting at a distance of 10 meters.
Ukrainian Serhiy Kulish won the gold medal at the 2025 European Shooting Championships, which is taking place in Osijek, Croatia.
At the continental championship, our 31-year-old compatriot triumphed in air rifle shooting at a distance of 10 meters.
Kulish passed the qualification with the sixth result (630.4 points) and reached the final, where he scored 252 points. In a tense fight for the “gold”, the Ukrainian beat the “neutral” Ilya Marsov by 0.3 points. The “bronze” was taken by the Croatian Miran Maricic (229.6 points).
Kulish won the individual gold medal at the European Championship for the first time in his career. Until now, he had won at the continental level only in 2024 in the men's trio with Svyatoslav Gudziy and Oleg Tsarkov. This medal was Sergey's fourth at the adult European level.
It should be noted that Kulish is a two-time Olympic silver medalist. In Rio de Janeiro 2016, he won a medal in 10-meter air rifle shooting, and in Paris 2024, he won an award in 50-meter three-position rifle shooting.
The Ukrainian team currently has two medals at Euro 2025. In addition to Kulish's gold, Viktor Bankin, Oleg Omelchuk and Pavel Korostylev won bronze in the team tournament in 10-meter air pistol shooting.
