The Ukrainian men's team was recognized as the best biathletes following the results of the seventh stage of the 2024/25 Biathlon World Cup , which took place in Nove Mesto, Czech Republic.

At the stage in Nove Mesto, the Ukrainian team sensationally won “bronze” in the men's relay, losing only to the teams of France and Norway. The “blue-yellow” team included Artem Tishchenko , Vitaly Mandzyn , Anton Dudchenko and Dmitry Pidruchny .
For Ukraine, this is the first medal at the Biathlon World Cup level in three seasons. Before this, the last time the “blue-yellows” won the award was at the stage in Oberhof in the 2021/22 season, when Daria Blashko and Artem Tyshchenko won the bronze in the single mixed relay.
In the voting for the “best athlete of the week”, the Ukrainian men's relay team beat out Norway's Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold (winner in the sprint, second place in the relay), Sweden's Sebastian Samuelsson (winner in the pursuit race) and his compatriot Hanna Oeberg (second place in the pursuit race).
It is worth noting that this is already the second such award for Pidruchnyi this season. Earlier, the captain of the Ukrainian team was recognized as the best biathlete following the results of the stage in Oberhof.
In addition, Mandzyn was nominated for the title of best biathlete of the stage in Kontiolahti, but this award was received by the Finn Suvi Minkinen.
The current biathlon World Cup season will end with stages in Pokljuka, Slovenia (March 13-16) and Holmenkollen, Norway (March 21-23).
