On Saturday, March 15, the men's mass start race took place at the eighth stage of the 2024/25 Biathlon World Cup in Pokljuka, Slovenia.
Ukraine was represented only by Dmytro Pidruchnyi , who finished in 13th position with one penalty lap.
The winner of the mass start was Frenchman Eric Perraud. His compatriot Quentin Fillon-Maillet took second place, and Norwegian Sturla Laegreid rounded out the top three.

Let us add that today at the stage in Pokljuka there was also a women's mass start , where two Ukrainians finished in the top 20.
On Sunday, March 16, the Slovenian stage will end with the single and classic mixed relays, which will start at 13:05 and 15:50 Kyiv time, respectively.
The current biathlon season will end with the final stage of the World Cup in Holmenkollen, Norway, which is scheduled for March 21-23.
It should be noted that this season of the Biathlon World Cup the Ukrainian team already has one medal – our team won the bronze in the men's relay at the stage in Nove Mesto, Czech Republic.
For Ukraine, this is the first medal at the Biathlon World Cup level in three seasons. Before this, the last time the “blue-yellows” won the award was at the stage in Oberhof in the 2021/22 season, when Daria Blashko and Artem Tyshchenko won the bronze in the single mixed relay.
