Haas F1 hopes for error-free weekend

It was a tough weekend in Australia for Haas F1 and they failed to score any points, but the team is hoping for a better result in China…

Ayo Komatsu , Team Principal: “After a tough weekend, we head to Shanghai for the first sprint of the season. The track in China has its own characteristics and is very different from Albert Park, with many slow corners and a long straight. When setting up the car, we need to use everything we have learned in the first round to have a good weekend.

Esteban did well in Australia and we hope to build on that and I also want to see Berman in good form after his uncharacteristic number of mistakes in Melbourne.”

Esteban Ocon : “Shanghai is an interesting, technical track – it's great that it came back on the calendar after a break last year. There are a lot of features, in particular the long Turn 1 with high speed entry, where you have to trust the car.

We have a weekend ahead of us with a sprint on Saturday, with only one practice session, and a lot to do. I love racing and I am happy that we have two races this weekend – two chances to fight and score points.”

Oliver Berman : “I came to China last year as a reserve driver and was impressed by the city and the unique track. I'm looking forward to my first sprint – it won't be easy as I've never raced in China before, but I'm up for the challenge.”
