On May 2, the Times Square Arena in New York (USA) will host the Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves boxing event, organized by Riyadh Season director Turki Al-Sheikh.

The main event will be a welterweight bout (up to 66.7 kg) – American boxers Ryan Garcia (24–1, 20 KOs) and Rolando Romero (16–2, 13 KOs) will meet in the ring. The boxers will compete for the WBA Regular world champion title.

On the eve of this confrontation, Garcia gave an interview in which he announced his fee for the upcoming fight. Ryan admitted that he was promised $20 million:

“Turki Al-Sheikh is an incredible man who is going to move boxing from its dead place. He has his own methods and a certain strategy. He offers crazy money to organize fights between the best boxers in the world.

So if you see that a fight has fallen through, it is definitely not because of the financial component. Turki wants me to fight Devin Haney, but first I need to beat Romero. This is an interim fight, but I will earn about $20 million for it,” said former interim world champion Garcia.
