The best result among Ukrainians in pursuit was shown by Dmytro Pidruchnyi.
On Saturday, March 22, the final ninth stage of the 2024/25 Biathlon World Cup in Holmenkollen, Norway, continued with the men's pursuit race.
Ukraine was represented by two biathletes: Dmytro Pidruchnyi (26th starting position in the sprint) and Anton Dudchenko (44th).
Vitaliy Mandzyn (54th place in the sprint) also qualified for the pursuit race, but the third biathlete of the Ukrainian team did not start.
The best result among Ukrainians in the pursuit was shown by Pidruchnyi, who finished 24th. Dudchenko took 31st place.
The race was won by Norwegian Sturla Laegreid , who, thanks to this, became the winner of the overall World Cup standings ahead of schedule, winning the Big Crystal Globe for the first time in his career.
Second place went to Norwegian Johannes Bjo, who had previously announced his retirement . Frenchman Quentin Fillon Maillet rounded out the top three.

Today, the Holmenkollen stage will also feature a women's pursuit race, where Ukraine will be represented by: Elena Gorodnaya (starting 15th), Yulia Dzhima (23rd) and Kristina Dmitrenko (59th). The start is at 16:50 Kyiv time.
On Sunday, March 23, the current World Cup season will conclude with the mass starts.
