The best result among Ukrainians was shown by Yulia Dzhima.
On Saturday, March 22, the women's pursuit race took place at the final, ninth stage of the 2024/25 Biathlon World Cup in Holmenkollen, Norway.
Ukraine was represented by two biathletes: Elena Gorodnaya (started 15th in the sprint ) and Yulia Dzhima (started the race 23rd). Kristina Dmitrenko, who also qualified for the pursuit (59th position), did not start.
The best result in the race among Ukrainians was shown by Dzhima, who took 31st place. Gorodnaya finished 44th.
The victory was won by Frenchwoman Lou Jeanmonnot , who thus took the lead in the overall World Cup standings from German Franziska Preuss . Before the final race of the season – the mass start in Holmenkollen – Jeanmonnot is five points ahead of Preuss in the fight for the Big Crystal Globe .
Sweden's Elvira Oeberg finished second in the pursuit, and Switzerland's Lena Häckie-Gross rounded out the top three.

Earlier today, the men's pursuit race took place in Holmenkollen, where the best result among Ukrainians was shown by Dmytro Pidruchnyi, who finished 24th.
On Sunday, March 23, the current World Cup season will conclude with the mass starts.
