Molchanov and Veldheer spent 1.5 hours of playing time to win. The Ukrainian-Dutch pair served two aces, made three double faults (their opponents had no aces and four double faults), lost two games on their serve and made four breaks.
Denis Molchanov and Mick Veldheer are playing their third tournament in a row together and have won their fourth victory together. Last week, the tennis players played in the final of the “Challenger” in Zadar (Croatia).
In the quarterfinals of the competition in Naples, Molchanov and Veldheer will play against the top seeded pair Alexander Erler (Austria)/Konstantin Frantzen (Germany).
