IBF International and WBA Continental light heavyweight champion Daniel Lapin (11-0, 4 KOs) announced that he has sustained an injury that will prevent him from fighting Slovakian boxer Robert Rač (27-3, 22 KOs).

“Due to injury, my fight on April 12 will not take place. My team and I did everything possible, but health is always a priority. This is a difficult decision, but the right one. The main thing now is a quick recovery. I will be back even stronger soon! Thank you all for your support!”

Lapin fought his last fight on December 21 on the undercard of the fight between Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury, winning by unanimous decision over Frenchman Dylan Colin.

That fight was a title fight, and the victory over Colin brought the 27-year-old Ukrainian the IBF Intercontinental title. Let us recall that Lapin became the owner of the WBA Continental belt in May 2024 after defeating Octavio Pudivitre.

Daniel Lapin made his professional debut in August 2020. Since then, the Ukrainian has had 11 fights, each of which he won.
