Rossoblu have effectively secured their place in the final, with Milan and Inter set to contest the second spot

The first match of the 1/2 final stage of the 2024/25 Italian Cup was played. Empoli suffered a heavy defeat to Bologna on their home field – 0:3.
The match was played with the advantage of the visiting team, which secured the result with two goals in the middle of the first half.
Soon after the break the score became a rout – Thijs Dallinga scored twice, with Dan Ndoye providing two assists.
Empoli's Ukrainian legionary Viktor Kovalenko played the entire match, making his first appearance in the starting lineup after returning to football. In total, he has made five appearances on the field this season (140 minutes).
The return match will take place on April 24. In the other semi-final pair we will have two Milan derbies, the closest one will take place tomorrow – Milan will be the hosts.
