Frank Warren , the promoter of IBF heavyweight champion Daniel Dubois , said that the official contender for the fight with his protégé is 41-year-old British heavyweight Dereck Chisora (36-13, 23 KOs).

“Chisora is the IBF mandatory challenger. He won that right in his last fight and everyone knew what that fight was for. He is the mandatory challenger to our man, 'Dangerous Dan' [Dubois], that's his status now.”

Let us recall that on the night of February 8-9, Chisora defeated Otto Wallin by unanimous decision: 114-112, 116-110, 117-109. The Swede was knocked down twice during the fight. This fight was positioned as a qualifier for the second line of the IBF rating.

After that fight, Derek addressed the crowd to determine his next opponent: the biggest excitement among the spectators was caused by the persons of Usyk and Anthony Joshua.

It is with Dubois that the WBO/WBC/WBA/IBO heavyweight title holder Oleksandr Usyk (23-0, 14 KOs) intends to have his next fight. At the same time, the WBO has officially determined that the Ukrainian will defend his championship belt. The Ukrainian's opponent should be WBO champion Joseph Parker (36-3, 24 KOs). Refusal to fight may result in Oleksandr losing his WBO championship belt.

The Ukrainian champion is considering options on how not to lose the title. The first option is a fee for Parker: the New Zealander agrees to give up his turn and goes into “waiting mode”, and only then fights the winner of the confrontation between Alexander and Daniel. However, there is another outcome: Usyk's team writes an official request to the WBO to postpone the fight.
