Pulev, Wardley, Hunter and Miller to fight in semifinals and decider
The World Boxing Association (WBA) has decided to hold a heavyweight tournament, with the winner receiving the title of interim champion.
The four boxers will fight in two semi-finals before meeting in a final. Three fights are expected to take place over the course of 2025.
On June 7, American Jarrell Miller (26–1–2, 22 KOs) and undefeated Briton Fabio Wardley (18–0–1, 17 KOs) will enter the ring at the Portman Stadium in Ispwich (England). They will compete for the WBA Interim belt.
In the other semi-final, regular champion from Bulgaria Kubrat Pulev (32–3, 14 KOs) will face another American, Michael Hunter (24–1–2, 17 KOs). The parties should agree on the date and location of the fight in the near future.
The winners of these matches will meet in a decisive fight to determine the holder of the interim heavyweight title. The best boxer of these four will get a chance to enter the ring with Alexander Usyk.
