Undefeated British boxer Fabio Wardley (18-0-1, 17 KOs) will have his next fight against Jarrell Miller (26-1-2, 22 KOs).
The parties are finalizing all the details of the deal. It is known that the fight will take place on June 7 in Ipswich, England, Wardley's hometown. The event will be held at the Portman Arena.
Wardley is the number one heavyweight contender in the WBA rankings. The title of “regular champion” is held by Bulgarian Kubrat Pulev, while the main belt belongs to Ukrainian Alexander Usyk. At the same time, Kubrat and Fabio were negotiating a face-to-face fight, but the deal fell through due to the Bulgarian's inflated financial demands.
Wardley last beat Fraser Clarke by technical knockout in October to retain his British, Commonwealth and WBA Continental heavyweight titles.
Miller, 36, last won in the professional ring more than a year and a half ago, in March 2023. In December of that year, he lost to Daniel Dubois by technical knockout (the first defeat of his career), and in August 2024, he made peace with Andy Ruiz Jr.
