WBO International heavyweight title holder Filip Hrgovic (18-1, 14 KOs) said after his victory over Britain's Joe Joyce (16-4, 15 KOs) that he wants a rematch with IBF champion Daniel Dubois .

“I didn't prepare, but thank God, he gave me strength and this comeback. I'm very happy to be back and I'm looking forward to big fights in the future.”

“Man, this guy is like steel. I couldn't believe he took all those punches. He's a really, really tough guy. He's a beast, he's really strong.”

“Look, this guy Joyce beat Dubois, and I beat Joe. So I want to have a rematch with Daniel Dubois. I did really bad in my last fight, and congratulations to him. He did a great job last year. And of course I'd like to have a rematch someday.”

Hrgovic had the advantage in the last rounds of the fight with Joyce, but did not find the strength to finish the fight early. In the end, all three judges gave the victory to the Croatian on points.

Let us recall that Joyce was originally supposed to fight former interim world heavyweight champion Dillian Whyte (31-3, 21 KOs), but the latter suffered an injury in early March, due to which he withdrew from the fight. Joyce's representatives quickly agreed on a fight with Hrgovic.

Hrgovic won for the first time since losing to Daniel Dubois last June, while Joyce suffered his fourth loss in his last five fights.
