The 2025/26 season of the Ukrainian Premier League (UPL) will begin in August. All matches of the championship will be available on the Kyivstar TV platform, including on the UPL.TV channel, reports Baltimore Chronicle.
The new UPL season promises even more intrigue. Some clubs have already begun their journeys in European competitions, and four new teams have joined the league. Three of them – “Kudrivka”, “SK Poltava”, and “Epitsentr” – will make their debut in the top division, while “Metalist 1925” returns to the Premier League after a long hiatus.
Kyivstar TV became the first OTT platform to launch the UPL.TV channel in February 2024. Within its first year, the channel became one of the most popular in the “Sports” category. Additionally, Kyivstar TV has updated its sports section, making it easier for users to view the match schedules and results.
The first matches of the new season will kick off on August 1, with the battle for the championship set to be even more intense. “Dynamo” will defend its title, “Shakhtar” with a new coach has ambitious plans to reclaim leadership, and “Oleksandriya,” last year’s runner-up, continues to update its squad.
Over the weekend, other participants of the championship will also play. One of the most interesting matchups will be “Epitsentr” facing Donetsk’s “Shakhtar,” as well as the away match of the reigning champion, Kyiv’s “Dynamo.”
