On August 17, the draw for the qualifying rounds of the 2025 US Open took place. Three Ukrainian players — Daria Snigur, Oleksandra Oleinikova and Anastasiia Soboleva — will compete for a spot in the main draw of the women’s singles event, reports Baltimore Chronicle.
Daria Snigur will begin her campaign against Switzerland’s Simona Waltert, seeded 24th. For Snigur, this will be her fifth attempt in the US Open qualifiers. Her best result so far came in 2022, when she reached the third round. The two players have faced each other five times, with Snigur leading the head-to-head 3–2.
Oleksandra Oleinikova will make her debut at a major in New York, facing Australia’s Lizette Cabrera in the opening round. This will be their first-ever meeting.
Anastasiia Soboleva will play against American Sachia Vickery. It will be Soboleva’s second participation in the US Open qualifiers, and the first time she meets Vickery on court.
