On Friday, September 5, the Ukrainian national team will play its first match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying tournament against France. Due to the full-scale war with Russia, the home game for the “Blue and Yellow” will take place in Poland at the Tarczyński Arena Wrocław. The match is scheduled to start at 21:45 Kyiv time, reports Baltimore Chronicle.
In addition to France, the opponents in the qualifying group for Serhiy Rebrov’s team are Iceland and Azerbaijan. These teams will compete with Ukraine for a spot in the World Cup, which will be held in the USA, Canada, and Mexico in 2026.
The live broadcast of the Ukraine – France match will be available on the MEGOGO media service. The game will also be shown on the free channel “MEGOGO SPORT” via digital T2 broadcast and cable networks.
Fans will also be able to follow the match through a text-based online broadcast available on the official tournament website.
