On Friday, September 5, the Ukrainian national team will play its first match of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifying tournament against France. Due to the full-scale war with Russia, the home game for the “Blue and Yellow” will take place in Poland at the Tarczyński Arena Wrocław. The match is scheduled to start at 21:45 Kyiv time, reports Baltimore Chronicle.

In addition to France, the opponents in the qualifying group for Serhiy Rebrov’s team are Iceland and Azerbaijan. These teams will compete with Ukraine for a spot in the World Cup, which will be held in the USA, Canada, and Mexico in 2026.
