The Russian army launched the most massive missile attack on Ukraine. Kyiv, Lvov, Kharkov, Zaporozhye, Dnieper, Odessa were under attack, many casualties are known, there are deaths, social and critical infrastructure became the enemy’s targets.

RBC-Ukraine in the material below has collected everything that is known about the consequences of the attack.

When preparing the material, the following data were used: State Emergency Service, Ministry of Internal Affairs, prosecutor's office, KSCA, KSVA, National Police, DTEK, Ministry of Energy, Telegram channels of OVA leaders and city mayors, Telegram channel of President Vladimir Zelensky and Telegram channel of the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny.

Briefly about the main thing:

  • This is the most massive air attack on our country since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
  • Russia used 158 air targets against Ukraine, the Ukrainian Armed Forces shot down 114 of them. Including 27 Shahed attack UAVs and 87 Kh-101/Kh-555/Kh-55 cruise missiles.
  • In Dnepr, you end up in a maternity hospital and a shopping center. So far, 6 dead and 28 wounded are known in the city (among them a child).
  • In Kharkov, as a result of a massive attack, problems arose with power supply. There are more than 20 “arrivals” in the city. Three people were killed and 13 were injured. Medical facilities, warehouses, and civilian enterprises were damaged.
  • In Lviv there is a dead man and 24 injured. There is an “arrival” in a residential building. Other houses were damaged, as well as a kindergarten and schools.
  • In Kyiv, the building of the Lukyanovskaya metro station and residential buildings in several areas were damaged. 28 injured, three people died.
  • In Odessa, a residential building was hit. Three people died. 22 people were injured, including two children and a pregnant woman.
  • In Zaporozhye, enterprises, high-rise buildings and private houses were under attack. It is also known that 4 were killed and 12 were injured.
  • There was also a missile attack in Konotop. Three injured.
  • In Drohobych, Lviv region, an infrastructure object was hit.
  • Damage was also recorded in the Lviv, Zaporozhye and Kyiv regions.

Kyiv

According to the KGVA, for the attack the enemy used Shaheds, Kh-22/Kh-32 cruise missiles from Tu-22M3 strategic bombers, ballistic missiles, S-300, Kh-101/Kh555 cruise missiles from Tu-95 MS strategic bombers, aeroballistic missiles Kh-47M2 “Dagger” from Mig-31K. In the capital, the air raid alert was announced three times and lasted almost 5 hours.

During the last alarm, the capital was attacked by several dozen missiles of various types. They approached the city in waves and in different directions. Air defense forces shot down more than 30 air targets over Kiev.

The remaining consequences for the regions of Kyiv are as follows:

  • In Podolsk region:

– fire in a warehouse covering an area of approximately 3000 m2. The State Emergency Service is working.

  • In Svyatoshinsky district:

– a fire was recorded in an uninhabited multi-storey building;
– fire of three cars. Both fires have been extinguished.

  • In Shevchenkovsky district:

– fire in an unfinished business center;
– damage to a residential building;
– fire in the garage area (liquidated);
– fire on the territory of warehouse premises;
– on the territory of non-residential buildings.

  • In Darnitsky district:

– damage to a residential multi-storey building;
– one private house.

10 people are being searched under the rubble in the Podolsk region

According to the KGVA, as a result of a missile attack on Kyiv in the Podolsk region, where a fire broke out in a warehouse covering an area of approximately 3000 m2. A search for victims is underway.

Preliminarily, 10 people are under the rubble. Rescuers are working.

Updated 10:47. The Kyiv City State Administration clarified that one person died in Kyiv and at least 23 were injured. At the same time, the prosecutor’s office and the KGVA write about 21 victims.

According to operational information from doctors, 20 of the victims have now been hospitalized.

Updated 11:39. Another victim was freed by rescuers from under the rubble of a warehouse in the Shevchenko district of the capital, Klitschko said.

Updated 12:20. In Kyiv, 28 victims are already known. The rescue operation continues, Klitschko said.

As of now , two people have died after the attack on the capital.

Updated 13:16. The death toll in the Shevchenko district of Kyiv has increased to three, Klitschko said.

Kyiv region

In the Kyiv region, 11 private houses and 11 cars were damaged due to the attack, and 1 person was injured.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, law enforcement officers, explosion experts from the Kyiv region and rescuers continue to work at the scene. The police are inspecting the scene and recording the consequences of the enemy attack.

Rescuers were involved in eliminating the consequences of enemy shelling in the Fastovsky, Boryspil and Buchansky districts.

Lviv and region

After the Shaheds arrived, missile strikes were carried out on Lvov. The explosion damaged an apartment building and infrastructure. 1 person died, 9 were injured. Kindergarten buildings and a school were also damaged.

Updated 10:31. The number of victims due to the missile attack increased to 13. Four of them were hospitalized.

As of this hour, partial destruction is known in 13 residential high-rise buildings and two schools. Lots of damaged cars.

Updated 10:40. It is already known about 15 victims in Lviv.

In addition, in Drohobych, Lviv region, there is an infrastructure hit.

“Residents of the Drohobych region, unfortunately, as a result of the morning enemy shelling, one of the infrastructure facilities of our region was hit by rockets. All relevant services are working on the spot!” – wrote the head of the Drohobych RVA Stepan Kulinyak.

There, according to him, there were preliminary no casualties.

Updated 14:01. In Lviv, the number of victims has increased to 24, the National Police reports.

Dnieper

In the Dnepropetrovsk region, the enemy hit a shopping center. 5 people were killed and more than 20 were injured, including a child. There is also a hit in the maternity hospital. The State Emergency Service units saved 4 patients.

The head of the Dnepropetrovsk Regional Administration, Sergei Lysak, called the morning tragic for the region and noted that in the Dnieper there is an “arrival” of the shopping center. There was a fire.

In addition, a private house, a six-story building, and a maternity hospital were damaged in the city.

Updated 13:43. In Dnepr, the number of victims increased to 28, 6 died. Among the victims was a 1.5-year-old child.

The search and rescue operation has been completed, the head of the OBA said.

Odessa

After a nighttime drone attack, the Russians also launched a missile strike on Odessa in the morning.

According to the head of the Odessa OVA Oleg Kiper, the enemy entered the residential buildings of civilians. As a result of the attack, two Odessa residents died. 15 people were injured, including two children – 6 and 8 years old. All victims are currently receiving assistance in medical institutions in the city. Two wounded are in serious condition.

All relevant services are on site.

As for the night attack by strike drones, in the Odessa region a mothballed building of one of the infrastructure facilities was hit. At the same time, in Odessa, a high-rise building was damaged by debris from a downed drone. A fire broke out, which was quickly extinguished. Air defense forces also shot down 10 Shaheds in the region.

Kharkiv

The occupiers launched more than 20 strikes on Kharkov, initially with S-300 missiles.

According to the head of the OVA Oleg Sinegubov, as a result of two waves of enemy attacks, destruction and damage to warehouse and industrial buildings, a transport depot, and an enterprise were recorded.

In one of the medical institutions, the roof and windows were damaged by the blast wave. Fragments of a Russian rocket were found nearby.

An ambulance was also damaged during enemy shelling.

As a result of the strikes in Kharkov, 1 person was killed – a man about 35 years old, 11 people were injured.

Updated 11:57. There are already three dead and 13 wounded in Kharkov

Search and rescue operations continue, information about the victims is being clarified.

Warehouse and industrial buildings, post offices, houses, hospitals, businesses, etc. were damaged in the city. Also, after a missile attack in one of the parks in Kharkov, law enforcement officers discovered a hit from a missile warhead, and explosives experts are working on the spot.

Zaporozhye

The enemy also carried out a massive attack on Zaporozhye. At least two people were killed as a result of rocket attacks. Another 10 people were injured.

It is currently known that one of the local businesses was damaged, a private home was destroyed and windows were broken in 19 high-rise buildings, two educational institutions and a medical institution. In addition, about 20 garages, a gas station and a hotel building were damaged.

Updated 14:22. The death toll in Zaporozhye has increased to 6 people, the head of the OVA Yuriy Malashko reported.

Konotop

The Ministry of Internal Affairs showed the consequences of the attack on Konotop, Sumy region.

There, three people were injured, four multi-storey buildings, a store and a service station were damaged. The car caught fire.

State Emergency Service employees quickly extinguished the fire. Investigative teams, experts and explosives technicians worked at the scene of the incident.

The most massive attack. The Russians fired 158 air targets

According to the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny, the Russian military fired 36 Shaheds, at least 90 Kh-101/Kh-555/Kh-55 cruise missiles, eight Kh-22/Kh-32 cruise missiles, and at least 14 C missiles into Ukraine. -300/S-400/Iskander-M, five Kinzhal missiles, three Kh-31P missiles and one Kh-59.

The air defense forces managed to shoot down 114 air targets – 27 Shaheds and 87 Kh-101/Kh-555/Kh-55 cruise missiles. The Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has already called this air attack the most massive.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in different regions of Ukraine, at least 12 people were killed and more than 70 were injured.

Zelensky's reaction

President Vladimir Zelensky published a video of the consequences of the enemy attack and noted that Russia beat everyone with almost everything it has in its arsenal. As the Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces previously stated, the enemy used almost everything from its arsenal except the Caliber cruise missiles.

“Maternity hospital, educational institutions, shopping center, high-rise buildings and private houses, commercial warehouse, parking. Kiev, Lvov, Odessa, Dnepr, Kharkov, Zaporozhye and our other cities. Today Russia hit with almost everything it has in its arsenal: “Daggers” , S-300, cruise missiles, UAVs. Strategic bombers launched X-101/X-505,” Zelensky wrote.

The head of state promised a response to the terrorists for their attacks.

Blackout

According to the Ministry of Energy, there is a power outage in 8 regions of Ukraine due to massive shelling. We are talking about Kyiv, Dnepropetrovsk, Odessa, Kharkov, Donetsk, Zaporozhye, Kherson and Chernigov regions.

At the same time, Kyiv has no problems with light after a missile attack. In the capital, the power grid had minor fluctuations, but now light is supplied to all areas of the city.

The only thing is that there is minor damage to three boiler rooms. The windows there were broken. But this did not affect their work.

During the attack on Ukraine, an unknown object crossed Polish airspace

This was reported by the operational command of the Polish Armed Forces.

“In the morning, an unidentified air object entered the airspace of the Republic of Poland from the border with Ukraine, which was observed by the radars of the country’s air defense system from the moment it crossed the border until the signal disappeared. According to the current procedure, the operational commander of the Armed Forces mobilized the available forces and means,” it says. in the message.

After which it became known that Polish President Andrzej Duda was convening an emergency meeting with the Minister of Defense, the Chief of the General Staff and the Commander of the Operational Armed Forces.

Police report 18 victims and 132 injured

“As of 13:00, it is known that 18 civilians were killed and 132 were injured,” the National Police said in a statement.

Law enforcement officers have already recorded 51 enemy attacks. As a result of the enemy's attack, residential buildings and civilian infrastructure were damaged. The police, together with rescuers and National Guardsmen, are eliminating the consequences of the enemy attack and providing assistance to people. Briefly about the situation in cities from the police:

  • As a result of shelling by Russian invaders in the Dnieper, five people were killed and 28 were injured. Among the dead are a child and a policeman.
  • In the Kharkov region – 3 people were killed, 13 civilians were injured.
  • In Zaporozhye, as a result of missile strikes by the Russian army, a multi-storey building, a gas station, and a garage cooperative were damaged. Six people were killed and 12 were injured.
  • In the Odessa region, two people were killed and 27 were injured as a result of hits in residential buildings. There may be people under the rubble.
  • In the Lviv region, an apartment building and civilian infrastructure were damaged as a result of missile attacks. 13 residential buildings, buildings of two educational institutions, as well as vehicles were damaged. As a result of Russian shelling, one person was killed and 24 were wounded.
  • In Kyiv, three people were killed and 22 were injured.
  • One person was also injured in the Kyiv region.

In total, 47 private houses, 39 cars, a hospital and a sanatorium, 9 apartment buildings, two administrative buildings, outbuildings, a service station, a garage cooperative, a gas station, a warehouse, a school, a church, a shopping center, and a maternity hospital were damaged.

Let us remind you that the attack of Ukraine began with a “Shahedov” raid. According to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, air defense forces shot down 18 of 22 drones that the enemy used over the past 24 hours late in the evening.

After which, already in the current day, the Russian occupiers resorted to missile and air strikes on Ukraine. First, the enemy launched X-22 missiles. Later, Russia used the Tu-95 for a massive missile attack on Ukraine (thanks to which the aggressor can launch Kh-101, Kh-555 cruise missiles). In addition, it became known that the enemy took into the air a MiG-31K, which can carry Kinzhal aeroballistic missiles, and carried out launches.

By the way, the last time the enemy attacked Ukraine using Tu-95 bombers was on December 8, 2023. Russia did this after a pause of 79 days. The enemy also targeted the capital and hit an infrastructure facility in the Dnepropetrovsk region.
