Rescuers discovered the bodies of three more people killed in yesterday's attack by Russian terrorists. The number of victims has risen to 16.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Telegram channel of the Kyiv City Military Administration.
Over the past few hours, rescuers have discovered the bodies of three more people under the rubble.
As of 12.40, 16 Ukrainians are known to have died.
The search and rescue operation continues and, as the mayor of Kyiv Vitaliy Klitschko said, will continue tomorrow.
January 1 will be declared a day of mourning in Kyiv.
Missile attack on Ukraine on December 29
At night, December 29, terrorists launched the most massive attack on the territory of Ukraine. In total, the enemy fired 36 Shahed-type UAVs and dozens of missiles, including: Kh-101/Kh-555/Kh-55, “Dagger”, Kh-31P, Kh-59. In particular, the Russians launched 14 S-300 anti-aircraft guided missiles, which hit Kharkov.
Air defense destroyed 114 air targets.
Over Kiev, air defense destroyed more than 30 targets. In the capital, as a result of the attack, a fire broke out in high-rise buildings and in a warehouse. The rubble at the warehouse in the Shevchenko district continues to be cleared away.
