Hennessey has unveiled the 862-horsepower Super Venom fastback. It is based on the new Ford Mustang Dark Horse or Mustang GT, which will be equipped with a supercharger and a specially developed aerodynamic body kit made of carbon fiber.
RBC-Ukraine reports this with reference to the company’s press service.
Hennessey Performance added a supercharger to the Ford Mustang Dark Horse and called this creation Super Venom. However, the “super venom” can also be a regular Mustang GT, since both have a modernized 5.0-liter Coyote “eight” under the hood. It is stated that the car is great for drifting.
Engineers changed the intake system, fuel injectors, pumps and firmware to get 862 horsepower and 881 Nm of maximum torque at the output.
The supercar also received carbon fiber body elements, which include a more aggressive front splitter, a functional air intake on the hood, gills in the wings, a rear spoiler and a wing. Together, these elements improve the aerodynamic balance and cooling of the power plant, which affects the dynamics. For example, the fastback accelerates from zero to 97 km / h in 3.2 seconds.
The Super Venom's interior is trimmed in leather and Alcantara. The finished Super Venom Dark Horse will cost $163,950, the Super Venom GT – $149,950. For comparison, the regular Mustang GT is priced at $42,860, and the Dark Horse – $60,635.
