Elon Musk said he will never turn off Starlink terminals for Ukraine. This is his position, no matter how much he disagrees with Ukraine's policy.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Musk's comment on his social network H.
“To be crystal clear, no matter how much I disagree with the policy towards Ukraine, Starlink will never turn off its terminals,” the billionaire wrote.
Musk says he is simply stating that without Starlink, Ukrainian communications lines will collapse because the Russians can jam all other communications.
“We would never do anything like that and we will not use it as a trump card,” he concluded.
What came before
Let's recall that today billionaire Elon Musk wrote a post in which he stated that Starlink is the backbone of the Ukrainian army. And if he were to turn off the service, then the Ukrainian front would collapse.
Later, Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski responded to the tweet, saying that if this happens, the Polish state will terminate the contract with Musk. He also noted that Poland is paying for Starlink for Ukraine.
In turn, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said that no one threatened to turn off Starlink for Ukraine. In response to Sikorosky, he called for saying thank you, since without Starlink Ukraine would have lost, and Russian troops would have been on the border with Poland.
