An investigative task force and a National Police regiment have been sent to Odessa over the murder of activist Demyan Ganul. The case will be under the control of Interior Minister Igor Klimenko.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to Klimenko during the government question hour.
“On the murder of citizen Ganul in the city of Odessa. An investigative task force of the best workers has been formed with the central office of the National Police; it has already left for Odessa. A regiment of the National Police has also been sent to the city of Odessa… I am taking personal control of the investigation and the solution of this crime ,” Klimenko said.
In the Telegram channel, Klimenko added that he was informed of all the information that had been collected to date and spoke of “specific leads.” Police operatives and investigators are currently working to establish the identity of the shooter and detain him.
“I would also like to note that the information that the shooter was wearing a military uniform is NOT true . Please use only information from official sources,” he noted.

Today, March 14, a man was shot dead in the center of Odessa. The police press service did not initially name the deceased, but RBC-Ukraine sources reported that it was activist Demyan Ganula.
According to law enforcement officials, the man was shot in the Primorsky district of the city. The police received a report of the attack at 10:30.
The killer fled the scene of the crime. All circumstances of the situation are currently being established.
