Skoda has announced the release of a seven-seater flagship crossover. In the near future, a new large car will join the Skoda lineup, which will become a serial embodiment of the Vision 7S concept.
RBC-Ukraine reports this with reference to the company’s press service.
The Czech brand announced the new product as part of its financial report for 2024, which turned out to be successful: Skoda sold 926,600 cars worldwide, increasing its share of the European car market to 5.9 percent.
Judging by the video and images, the new crossover from Skoda will be similar to the Vision 7S concept, shown back in 2022. The similarity is noticeable in the proportions, the almost horizontal roof line, as well as in the design of the front optics and T-shaped lights. In addition, the new product will inherit the Tornado Line window line. Interestingly, the Vision 7S received a cabin with an unusual 2 + 2 + 2 + 1 seating formula with a child seat located between the first and second rows against the direction of travel.
Skoda did not disclose any technical details about the future flagship. The prototype Vision 7S was based on the Volkswagen Group's MEB platform. It was announced to have a battery with a capacity of 89 kWh and a range of up to 600 kilometers.
