The Cabinet of Ministers has approved a pilot project of state aid for the education of children of Ukraine's defenders. Funding will be provided in 2024-2026 from the state budget.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Telegram of the government representative in the Verkhovna Rada, Taras Melnychuk.

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has decided to launch a pilot project that provides state aid for the education of children of Ukraine's defenders. The Ministry of Veterans Affairs initiated this project.

The aid will be provided for one and a half years – in the 2024/25 and 2025/26 academic years. This is a one-time targeted financial support from the state budget that does not require repayment.

Citizens of Ukraine who study in institutions of professional pre-higher and higher education of all types of ownership will be able to receive assistance. It is important that funding will be available regardless of the previously obtained level of education, if the training is paid for by individuals.

“It is envisaged that state aid for the education of children of certain categories of persons who defended the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine is a one-time, targeted, non-repayable financial aid from the state budget,” Melnychuk noted.

Let us note that yesterday, March 13, the Verkhovna Rada adopted as a basis a bill guaranteeing military personnel compensation for unused vacations.

This applies to vacations that were not used during martial law.

In addition, yesterday the Verkhovna Rada amended the Code of Ukraine on administrative offenses related to mobilization.

Consequently, 6 million conscripts who have not yet specified their data will be able to do so and pay the fine with a 50% discount through “Reserve+”.
