Ukrainian drones attacked the Russian airfield “Engels” today, March 20. The occupiers could have stored dozens of missiles there.
Aviation expert Konstantin Krivolap stated this in a comment to the YouTube channel RBC-Ukraine.
He noted that no more than three Tu-95MS strategic bombers and two Tu-160s could have been based at the airfield during the attack by Ukrainian drones. And there is no information yet about their defeat.
However, the situation is different in the case of missiles. In particular, a few days before the attack, a cargo An-124 “Ruslan” flew to the airfield. At the same time, yesterday or the day before yesterday, another cargo plane Il-76 was recorded at the airfield.
“He usually brought somewhere so it was calculated that he could bring 7-8 missiles. If we take into account that there was also a “Ruslan”, then there could really be several dozen missiles, maybe even more than fifty,” Krivolap suggested.
The expert also noted that it is not yet clear whether the Russians could have produced such a quantity of missiles in such a short time. But, according to him, the fact that there was a “serious quantity of missiles” is “definite”.
