Renault has shown the updated Espace crossover. The current generation model debuted in March 2023, which means it's time for a scheduled update. The new Espace has come closer to other Renault models in appearance, receiving a new front end design with optics like the Rafale.
RBC-Ukraine reports this with reference to the company’s press service.
The hood, rear doors and lights of the crossover are also new. LED headlights are included in the list of standard equipment, matrix optics are available for an additional fee. The range of body colors, among others, includes the new gray-blue Baltic Blue Gray.
The main innovation in the interior is the panoramic Solarbay roof with an area of almost two square meters – the largest in the Renault line. The multilayer glass consists of nine segments, the transparency of which can be controlled using the Google voice assistant.
Another “feature” that Renault is using for the first time is a user recognition system. The camera “sees” drivers. As soon as the system recognizes a user, it adjusts the car to him, using the parameters of the multimedia system, the position of the rear-view mirrors and seats.
Espace is built on the CMF-CD platform. The crossover is powered by a hybrid unit based on a 1.2-liter gasoline turbo engine. Together with the traction electric motor and starter generator, it produces 200 horsepower. The car accelerates from zero to “hundreds” in 8.8 seconds. Fuel consumption is 4.8 liters per 100 kilometers, and the total power reserve reaches 1,100 kilometers.
