On the night of March 22, the Russian army attacked Kyiv with 52 drones. Falling debris caused a fire in a multi-story building in one of the districts.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to KGVA.
Thus, the air raid alarm on the evening of March 21 and the night of March 22 lasted for 3 hours and 28 minutes – from 21:23 to 00:52.
“52 enemy UAVs were recorded on the approaches to Kyiv and in the capital's airspace,” the report says.
Air defense crews destroyed 36 drones, the rest were lost or left the airspace.
Consequences of the Russian attack on Kyiv
As a result of falling debris from a downed enemy UAV, a fire broke out in an apartment building in the Podolsk district.
“The fire has been extinguished. There are no casualties,” added the KGVA.

Russian troops launched a new attack on Ukraine on the evening of March 21. Explosions were heard in Kyiv at about 10:00 p.m. Air defense was also in operation in the capital.
It later became known that during the occupiers' attack on Kyiv, fragments of one of the drones fell on the roof of a residential building. A fire started, which was later extinguished by rescuers. The fire engulfed the third floor of a three-story residential building.
