The Verkhovna Rada supported bill No. 9549, which provides for the acceleration of the construction of base stations for the mobile network.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the Telegram channel of the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine.

According to the bill, mobile operators will receive land for rent for the construction of mobile networks twice as fast. If previously the procedure for registering land took about six months, then in the near future this period will be reduced to three. This will also provide residents of remote areas with stable mobile communications and ensure 4G coverage along highways.

Among other things, the bill will speed up the restoration of communications in the de-occupied territories.

“Due to damage, many mobile communication stations are not suitable for use, so operators need land to build new ones. Thanks to the new law, operators will be able to place temporary communication structures without the risk of dismantling them, build new base stations faster and return communication and the Internet to Ukrainians,” the Ministry of Digital Development writes.

It is noted that one of the priority goals of the department by 2030 is to provide 98% of the population with high-quality mobile communications in every corner of Ukraine.

The bill is now expected to be signed by President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Let us recall that RBC-Ukraine wrote that in December 2024, a number of Ukrainian operators raised prices for mobile communications tariffs.
