Prices for indoor and underground parking spaces increased in 2025. At the same time, the cost of open parking, on the contrary, decreased along with demand.

RBC-Ukraine reports how much you will have to pay for a parking space in different cities of Ukraine and how demand has changed against the backdrop of the war, citing data from OLX Real Estate.

Stable demand and rising prices

The average cost of a parking space in indoor or underground parking lots in Ukraine has increased by 8.7% compared to last year and now amounts to UAH 708,383. Demand for such spaces has increased by 18%, although supply has decreased by 4.6%.

The largest number of parking spaces are sold in Kyiv, where demand has grown by 11.9%, while supply has fallen by 3.8%. At the same time, the price of parking in the capital has decreased by 1.8% – now it is on average 879,796 hryvnia.

Significant increases in parking prices were recorded in:

  • Odessa – by 14.7% (up to UAH 623,558),
  • Lviv – by 10% (up to UAH 624,071),
  • Dnieper – by 8% (up to UAH 808,619).

Parking prices fall along with demand

Unlike parking lots, demand for open parking spaces in 2025 decreased by 27.6%, and the average price fell by 3% to UAH 40,000. Supply also decreased by 11.6%.

Parking has fallen the most in:

  • Dnieper – by 88.2% (from UAH 169,358 to UAH 20,000),
  • In Kyiv – by 38.2% (from UAH 97,012 to UAH 60,000),
  • Odessa – by 9.8% (from UAH 39,292 to UAH 35,423).

At the same time, Lviv recorded the highest cost of parking – 564,013 hryvnia, which is 13% more than last year.

Demand for parking space purchases fell the most in:

  • Sumac (-88%),
  • Odessa (-57%),
  • Kyiv (-31.6%),
  • Lviv (-20.9%).

In general, in 2025, Ukrainians will be more active in purchasing parking spaces in closed parking lots, while interest in open parking lots will decline, which will affect their cost.

Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported on the problem of parking for people with disabilities, in particular, on the right of these people to park for free in special places for the disabled. The law requires that each parking lot should have designated places for such people (at least 10% of the total number of parking spaces). Such places are designated with appropriate signs or markings. Parking in such places without proper grounds can result in a fine of 1020 to 1700 hryvnia.

We also wrote about various options for storing cars, comparing their pros and cons. In particular, we talked about parking outdoors, in a garage, under a canopy, and in paid parking lots.
