In Krivoy Rog, Russians hit residential areas with a missile and drones. 19 people were killed, dozens were injured.
This was reported by RBC-Ukraine with reference to the channel of the head of the Krivoy Rog Defense Council, Oleksandr Vilkul, the channel of the head of the Dnipropetrovsk Regional State Administration, Serhiy Lysak, and the Telegram of the State Emergency Service of Ukraine.
On the evening of April 4 and the night of April 5, Krivoy Rog was subjected to a massive attack from Russia: first by a ballistic missile, then by Shahed-type attack UAVs. At least 19 people were killed, including 9 children.
The terrorist attacks left 68 people injured.
Large-scale destruction
As a result of the massive attacks, 34 apartment buildings, six educational institutions, shops, restaurants, and dozens of cars were damaged. The strikes hit civilians, playgrounds, and schools.

There are 40 people in hospitals, 17 of whom are in serious condition. Two children, aged 5 and 8, were taken to the Mechnikov Hospital in Dnepr in extremely serious condition.
“Rescuers extinguished fires in private homes, outbuildings and garages,” the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported.

By 02:45, emergency rescue operations were completed. Utility workers worked all night. By 06:00, tram service on the Druzhba route was restored. Some houses still have no electricity or gas – repairs are ongoing.
Aid Headquarters were immediately deployed in the places where the bombs hit. They worked all night and continue to work during the day. People are provided with the necessary building materials – OSB boards, film, slats – and are accepting applications for financial assistance.
“Despite all the difficulties in Krivoy Rog, all services, public transport, hospitals and social institutions are working,” said Oleksandr Vilkul.

General Staff on Russia's statement
The General Staff reported on its Facebook page that on April 4, Russian troops struck Krivoy Rog with an Iskander-M ballistic missile with a cluster warhead.
This missile, designed to hit a large area and cause numerous casualties, hit a residential area and a children's playground, which is another violation of international humanitarian law by the aggressor country.

Despite the attempts of the Russian military department to cover up its crime by spreading false information about a “high-precision” strike on the site of a meeting of the commanders of the Ukrainian Armed Forces with Western instructors, the facts confirm that the missile struck Ukrainian civilians.
“These war crimes committed have no statute of limitations. The relevant evidence will be handed over to the international criminal justice bodies. The enemy will definitely answer for what they have done,” the General Staff stated.
The world's reaction
US Ambassador to Ukraine Bridget Brink responded to the Russian strike on Krivoy Rog, saying it was yet another reason why the war must end.
In her post on the X platform, Brink expressed horror that a Russian ballistic missile hit the area of a children's playground and restaurant in Krivoy Rog.
“More than 50 wounded and 16 dead, including six children. This is further proof why this war must end,” she wrote.
Situation in the region
During the night, air defense forces worked in the region, which shot down 6 enemy “Shaheds”. However, not all drones were destroyed.
In Krivoy Rog district, a transport enterprise was damaged. In Nikopol district, Marganets, Pokrovsk and Chervonohrigorevsk communities were attacked. According to preliminary data, there were no casualties.
Russian strike on Krivoy Rog
Let us recall that yesterday evening Russian occupiers launched an Iskander ballistic missile at Krivoy Rog. It hit the street right next to a children's playground. As a result of the attack, a restaurant, at least 29 apartment buildings, garages were damaged, and several cars were destroyed.
Later, Alexander Vilkul said that the rocket launched by the Russians exploded in the air near a children's playground. He explained that these were special rockets with an air burst so that more people would be hurt.
