The Cupra Terramar sports crossover was presented in Ukraine. The model's name was chosen based on geographical principle: the name was taken from the old Autódromo de Terramar racing track near Barcelona.
This was reported by a correspondent of RBC-Ukraine.
The new model is a close relative of the Audi Q3, a C-segment crossover. What they have in common is not the MQB platform, but the common body frame and engines. The car's appearance is completely its own, made in the brand's signature style.
The Cupra Terramar is larger than the Audi Q3 in size, and has a completely unique interior. It uses a virtual instrument panel and a multimedia system with a 12.9-inch screen. The front seats are sports “buckets” with integrated headrests. The rear sofa has longitudinal adjustment, which allows changing the trunk volume from 540 to 630 liters.
On the Ukrainian market, Terramar is offered with 2 powertrain options. The base option is a 2.0-liter turbo engine with 204 horsepower and all-wheel drive. The top version of Terramar VZ also uses a 2-liter turbo engine, but it is boosted to 265 horsepower. All of the listed engines work in tandem with a seven-speed DSG “robot” with two clutches.
Prices for the less powerful version start at 39 thousand euros, while the more powerful version costs from 43 thousand euros in the brand's showrooms.
